U.N. Security Council Passes Resolution Calling for Cease-Fire for the Rest of Ramadan

As the IDF offensive at Shifa Hospital continues and Israel and Hamas continue their hostage negotiations in Qatar, the U.N. Security Council passed a resolution for a cease-fire for the last two weeks of Ramadan. Prior to the vote, which occurred this morning, media reports stated that Prime Minister Netanyahu threatened to cancel his visit to Washington if the United States did not veto the resolution.
