Families of Israeli hostages and Speaker Amir Ohana, a member of Israel’s Knesset, joined bipartisan lawmakers in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday to demand their release. Lawmakers pledged to stand in unity with Israel and to do all that they can to ensure the hostages are freed, while the families shared the horror of not knowing the fate of their loved ones. Speaker Ohana emphasized the importance of recognizing that the war between Israel and Hamas is not a private war but realizing that Israel stands proxy for the entire free world.
