Southern Israel experienced its most intense rocket barrage in months on Sunday night. The rockets were fired from Deir al-Balah, an area in Gaza from which Israeli ground forces have not operated yet, and Hamas claimed all responsibility. This comes amid diplomatic efforts by Egypt, which is trying to help negotiate another ceasefire. It also coincides with Benjamin Netanyahu’s second trip this year to the White House, where he and President Trump are strategizing how to free the remaining 56 hostages in Gaza.
