Israeli officials believe Hezbollah will be the first to strike Israel in retaliation for the assassination of Hamas military commander Fouad Shukur. Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian has asked their Supreme Leader not to order a strike on Israel for fear of the effect on the country.
