In continued response to Saturday’s aggressive attacks on civilians by Hamas, Israel Defense Forces have launched “Operation Swords of Iron.” This military operation will utilize ground, air and naval forces, aimed at targeting more than 1200 locations within the Gaza strip. These include weapons storage and production facilities, command and control centers, production facilities, and Hamas leadership homes and headquarters.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced a “complete siege” on Gaza, discontinuing the admittance of food, electricity, water and fuel.
“We are setting up a complete siege of Gaza: No electricity, no food, no water, no gas. Everything is closed. We are fighting human animals. And we are acting accordingly,” Gallant said in a video statement.
By Monday, Oct. 9, the IDF was nearly finished with the process of clearing Hamas out of Israeli communities and homes. A ground invasion from IDF is expected very soon.
