The IDF and the Israeli Security Agency carried out and executed a targeted strike on senior Hamas political figure, Ismail Barhoum. Barhoum was hiding inside the Nasser Hospital compound in Khan Yunis. In recent days the IDF and ISA have also eliminated two other top Hamas military leaders. Ahmad Salmon Awi Shimali, who played a central role in planning and preparing the October 7th massacre and Jamil Omar Jamil Wadiya who was responsible for attacks on Israeli troops and previously oversaw the 2011 anti-tank missile strike on a yellow school bus that killed 16-year-old Daniel Viflic. Sunday evening, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio about Israel’s military operations in Gaza, efforts to release the hostages, regional threats, and that the U.S reaffirmed their continued support of Israel.
