The return to war in Gaza is still a distinct possibility as all eyes are on Doha, Qatar, where mediated hostage for ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas have renewed. In the meantime, the Israeli air force struck targets in Syria overnight. These strikes came after Foreign Minister Gideon Saar warned that the new Islamic rulers of Syria were pure evil. Israel’s repeated warnings concerning the dangers of the regime ring true in the aftermath of the ruler’s forces killing more than 1,000 Alawites in recent days.
