It is assumed that Hamas military leader Mohammed Sinwar was killed yesterday in a targeted IDF strike in Gaza, but confirmation could take several days. Sinwar was targeted in an airstrike that hit the Hamas command center located below the European Hospital in Khan Yunus. Israeli officials have long considered Sinwar to be an obstacle in the hostage-for-ceasefire negotiations. Meanwhile, some 1 million Israelis were forced to shelter last night and this morning as the Houthis continued striking Israel with ballistic missile fire. Additionally, this morning the Israeli Post reported, “Israel will only negotiate ‘Witkoff framework’ in renewed hostage talks,” but Hamas rejected that framework last month.
