A revealing picture was posted on X (Twitter) Dec. 18, 2023, showing the difference between two tunnels separated by a few miles and vastly different perspectives on life. Lee Kern shares:
I’m struck by the contrast. [The picture] on the left is an ongoing excavation taking place underground, (not yet open to the public), uncovering the ancient path Jewish pilgrims took from the Pool of Siloam to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. The path rises upwards and the journey and destination is one that honours life. On the right is a terror tunnel built by Hamas. The path [travels] downwards and it is built for murder and death. We are in a war against the dark, anti-civilization of Hamas.
A tunnel is not just a tunnel. In this case, it shows the staggering difference between a group bent on death (Hamas) and one that celebrates life (Israel). This is an old story. God Himself told His people, Israel, in Deuteronomy 30:19, “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live” (NKJV). In these pictures, we see the choices that have been made. As always, we choose life!
